Job Opportunities
At this time, the district does not post its job openings on this, or any other web site. We also do not send out job applications in advance of a position being available. Generally, we will send an application to a candidate when called for an interview. Application forms are available to be downloaded from this site at the bottom of this page. Print the application and send it in with other information if you wish.
Sending an e-mail to the webmaster will not assist you in receiving information about potential openings in the district.
If interested in being considered for open positions, please review the following
requirements and provide the following information:
Teaching Openings: Teaching vacancies occur throughout the school year. Candidates interested in being considered for these teaching openings as they become available should send:
1. Letter of introduction outlining your qualifications and areas of interest,
2. A current resume
3. A photocopy of your teaching certificate
Other Openings: (i.e. Custodial, Food Service, Bus Driver, Teacher Aide) If interested in being considered as a candidate for a position in one of these areas, send a letter of introduction stating the area in which you have an interest and outlining your qualifications for the position to the above address. Candidates interested in a bus driver position should include a photocopy of their CDL and Bus Driver Certification if available.
Should a position become available, we will check these letters of interest.
Paraprofessional Teacher Aides: Paraprofessional teacher aides (aides in an instructional capacity) MUST be Highly Qualified as defined by the State of Michigan and the federal No Child Left Behind Act in order to be considered for an open position. To be considered to be Highly Qualified, the candidate must meet one of the following requirements:
- Possess an Associate’s Degree or higher
- Have at least two years of study (a total of 60 credit hours) at a state approved institution of higher education (a 4-year college). A candidate with a Child Development Assistant certificate (30 credit hours) may count those 30 hours toward the 60 credit hour requirement.
- Can provide evidence of having a passing score on one of the following State approved academic assessments:
WorkKeys® Proficiency Certificate for Teacher Assistants, or
Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC Basic Skills), or
ETS Parapro Assessment (available Spring 2004).
An applicant should submit verification that you meet one of these requirements of being Highly Qualified along with this application in order to be considered for a position.
For consideration for an open position as a ParaProfessional, send the following information to the above address:
1. Letter of introduction
2. Photocopy of high school diploma or transcript of grades,
3. Photocopy of the certificate of passing the approved proficiency test.

interest.
