Dear New Haven Families,
The New Haven Community School District plans to open tomorrow unless conditions change overnight.
We want to share a few updates related to Little Rockets, New Haven Elementary and our High School due to the current water situation: Endeavour is NOT affected by this situation and will run as it normally does.
Restrooms are operational in all affected buildings. As a precaution, schools will limit restroom locations so they can be monitored. Students will use the restroom as needed (no whole-class restroom breaks).
Additional hand sanitizer stations are being placed in restrooms and cafeteria areas.
Lunch will be provided by Jet's Pizza for those buildings affected by the water break, with a gluten-free option available provided by our food service. Parents are also welcome to send their child to school with a home lunch.
For those buildings affected by the water break, please send your child with a personal water bottle if possible. There will be some extra bottled water at each building.
We are hopeful the boil water advisory will be lifted soon. When it is lifted, cafeteria operations and water usage will return to normal.
Thank you for your cooperation and support as we continue to prioritize student safety.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Puzdrakiewicz
Superintendent
New Haven Community School District

The New Haven Student Council recently traveled to Grand Rapids to attend the Michigan Association of Student Councils and Honor Societies State Leadership Conference. While there, they collaborated with student leaders from across Michigan, participated in engaging workshops, and exchanged ideas to strengthen their school community.
During the conference, they were honored with an award for an “Exceptional Service Project,” recognizing their dedication, organization, and meaningful impact through service initiatives. This achievement reflects the council’s strong commitment to leadership, service, and making a positive difference at New Haven.

AP Biology students are learning about genetics and how genes are expressed in our bodies. Students were able to prick their fingers and test their blood for the presence of antigens, carbohydrates and proteins on the surface of our cell that determines our blood type. Blood typing is an important skill for students interested in nursing, lab science, or emergency care.

CTE student organizations give students the opportunity to lead, compete, and grow beyond the classroom. Through hands-on experiences, leadership development, and real-world challenges, students build the skills and confidence needed for college, careers, and life.
