Endeavour Elementary

Elementary STEM was added to the district last year and students are LOVING IT! This year, there is even more to LOVE as Ms. Conwell worked on more hands-on lessons over the summer! For the first quarter, kindergarten has been focusing on their five senses, and connecting that with different types of weather. First grade has been practicing their observations, along with the scientific method. They did their first experiment by using gummy bears and following the scientific method steps. Second graders have been reviewing states of matter, and classifying properties of matter. They participated in properties of matter stations and practiced what they learned! Third and fourth grade has been studying forces and interactions between certain objects. They discussed Newton's Laws of Motion, balanced and unbalanced forces, as well as predicting patterns of motion. They completed their unit with a paper airplane challenge. Fifth grade has also been reviewing states of matter, as well as completing an alka-seltzer rocket challenge.
