Book Club

This year, Endeavour started a book club for our middle school! For October, students read and discussed the book Artemis Fowl. This November, students are reading “The Graveyard Book” by Neil Gaiman. Students meet once a month to discuss the books, as well as a joy and a love of reading.

National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle school students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship. On October 21st, NJHS volunteered from 11-5pm at the Haven Place to help with the Chilifest Fall Fundraiser. This fundraiser helps feed our community.

Kindness Club

The Kindness Club is all about spreading positivity and providing an outlet for students to express their creative and fun ideas, while encouraging and supporting fellow students to be their best selves. This year The Kindness Club has expanded and added 5th grade. This allows more generosity to be spread throughout the building of Endeavour. For the 2023-24 school year, we will have bake sales, sell concessions for Junior Hoops, plan game & movie nights, as well as 2 parties (one for middle school and one for the elementary). The Kindness Club cosponsored the 8th grade send off and will have a dodgeball (Middle School) and Kickball (elementary) tournament. The Kindness Club works with Haven Place to assist with their fall festival and donate hygiene kits for the homeless. Last year, we donated 30 hygiene kits. This year we are able to donate 40 kits with additional warming comforts. Here at New Haven Community School District-KINDNESS COUNTS!
